Summary:
A plague ravages the planet Enadris while dragons live safely within their asteroid homes. The humans, desperate to survive, send raiding parties to collect enough materials to build a fleet of starships and escape dying Enadris.
When the dragon king dies, passing his crown to his adopted human daughter Zaniah, tensions between Enadris and the dragon kingdom rise.
Zaniah's reign seems cursed to fail as she tries to reconcile the needs of her beloved dragon family and the people who share her blood.
